It’s no secret that garden shears can get dull quickly, making it difficult to cut through thick branches and stems. But with a little bit of know-how, you can easily sharpen them using an angle grinder.
The first step is to remove the blade from the shears and clamp it in a vise. Next, use a grinding wheel to sharpen one side of the blade at an angle of about 30 degrees. Be sure to keep the grinding wheel moving so you don’t overheat or damage the blade. Finally, repeat on the other side of the blade and reattach to your shears!
