4K is amazing. It has four times the number of pixels as 1080p, making for an incredibly immersive experience. But can 1920×1080 play 4K?
The answer is yes! While it may not be the best way to experience 4K, it is possible to get your hands on a device that will allow you to do so. There are a few things you need to consider before making the switch, however.
First off, you’ll need a display or television that supports 4K resolution. Not all devices do – in fact, most don’t – so this may be something of an investment on your part. You’ll also likely need new cables; standard HDMI cables aren’t going to cut it when trying to transmit those extra pixels. Finally, make sure whatever device you’re using can actually handle playing back content at that resolution; many can’t and will simply upscale lower-resolution media instead of providing the full benefits of 4K visuals.
